Long live free and community culture! #Rodar2026
On 21 May, marking the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, REACC and REAS are coming together to celebrate and invite you to take part in a new edition of RODAR.
In Bilbao, from Wikitoki, REAS Euskadi and KoopSF34, we would like to join this initiative with the following activity:
ERROTU / ENRADIKIĜI / ECHAR RAICES / جڑ پکڑو / LEN FUNDA / PRENDRE RACINE / 生根 / TAKE ROOT / تتجذر
An invitation to share perspectives on roots and belonging.
A kind of intercultural hamaiketako (late-morning bite), next Thursday 21 May, from 11:00 to 12:00, at Harrobi Plaza in the San Francisco neighbourhood of Bilbao.
We’d love to open up a small conversation around questions like:
What do “roots” mean to you?
What are yours?
What does the idea of belonging mean to you?
Where and how do you experience belonging?
Do you experience belonging as a desire, a right, or an administrative process?
What factors most help or hinder your sense of belonging?
What differences are there between how belonging is understood and lived by those who host and those who are welcomed?
How can we make sure the roots and seeds each of us brings help nourish the place that receives us?
How can we collectively grow and weave new ways of belonging, across our differences?
…?
The more diverse the voices, perspectives and backgrounds… the richer we all become!
